In order to encourage more and more projects that are influencing, informing and inspiring the high-performance planning, design, construction and operations processes, USGBC and DOW are proud to launch the first Carbon Challenge Award in North Asia, advocating every unique project with the commitment of low-carbon planet, either a well-developed sustainable office building, or a large-scale comprehensive shopping centre, is the driving force to hit the 12 years target of reducing carbon emission.
We believes, the Carbon Challenge Award will offer an exceptional opportunity for all projects to gain competitive differentiation, through environment contribution and strongly enhance their brand value and global recognition with continuous media exposure.
In order to limiting global warming to 1.5℃ ,the energy intensity per square meter of the global building sector needs to decrease on average by 30% by 2030. (compared to 2015)
